NPD Reports Aion #1 for September

Remember the NPD Group? They are the ones that report on PC Box Sales, which is perhaps becoming quite an outdated metric in light of all the online sales purchases through services such as Steam or Direct2Drive. Nonetheless, the NPD Group still publishes monthly retail box sales figures for PC Games, and here they are for the month of September.

4. World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King (Blizzard)
5. Aion Collector's Edition (NCsoft)

While it seems like all new games are number one on the list, Aion didn't truly go live until September 22nd, so maybe it isn't a fluke, this time.
